How Long Do Dermal Fillers Really Last?

The longevity of the results of a dermal filler treatment depends on the product used, the frequency and timing of the touch-ups, where the product is placed as well as the quality of the medical care provided. All of the above factors play vital roles in how long you will see results for, and it could be anywhere from a few months to a few years. Most of the time, touch-up sessions will be needed from time to time to achieve the best results.

A medical practitioner’s injection technique and experience play a part in the endurance of results. A medical practitioner (with experience) will gain a far better understanding of the subtle innovation of technique needed to achieve optimal results. Esteem Medi Spa filler clinics Gold Coast & Brisbane have been providing their clients with exceptional service in dermal fillers treatments for over two decades.

Botox results generally last from 3 to 6 months; however results depend on the treated area, the patient and the medical practitioner technique. Patients that have lower amounts of muscle mass often need fewer treatments.

Patients often decrease the amount of Botox required to maintain results by going back for follow-up treatment. Patients should return for follow-up treatments as soon as they start to notice excess movement in the treated area.

Some patients, over time, need fewer treatments to maintain results, as the lines may relax and in some cases even disappear.

Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus

Juvederm fillers normally last for up to a year before touch up treatments are required. By going back to your medical practitioner for touch-ups while there is still some filler present in the body, you can increase the longevity of the results. Several patients need less product and longer treatment intervals over time.

This type of dermal filler generally lasts for more than a year before touch up treatments are required. In some cases, patients will experience temporarily diminished results a few months following the treatment, before the body starts to respond with its own collagen production.

Area of placement and medical practitioner technique both are factors in the speed in which this filler is reabsorbed by the body.

Both medical practitioners and patients have reported needing less filler and longer gaps between touch up treatments over time if patients go in for touch-ups while traces of the product remain in the body.

Results from this filler normally last from 4 to 9 months before touch up treatments are required to maintain results. Increased longevity can be achieved by going for touch-ups while there is still some filler present in the body.
